Specificaly with the (ooh i forget the name) little plug in line out adapter for the 3 and 4G's...? OR does bass boost actually work that way.....without distortion?

the eq doesn't distort on the headphone out either.
just lower all your songs with mp3gain, then pump the volume up with EUpod.

problem solved.
