Hi there,

I was wondering, does the material that a headphone stand is made of matter? I was looking at this one: http://www.mp4nation.net/brainwavz-peridot-headphone-stand-suitable-for-almost-all-headphone-sizes

for a closed pair of alpha dogs and was wondering about the breathabillity and if I should go for something like wood or more of a "hanger" model like this one: http://www.mp4nation.net/brainwavz-quartz-headphone-stand-for-all-headphone-sizes

Cheers,

The material is purely for aesthetics.

If you want to pay more to have a nice wooden or steel stand, its all you. Lost of people do it.

The omega style vs hanger style can depend on the type of headphone you have. For example, something like the akg headphones i tend to like omega since their shape is similar, and thus evenly distribute the weight on the esrpad with the omegas. On the other habd, i like the hanger stand for my HE 560 since the earpads naturally clamp together. I just do it to conserve the earpad life.

Honestly it doesnt make too much of a difference, whether it be material or style.
