I've got a really simple question. If I use an external DAC as a sound card, will I still be able to use the Foobar EQ or will the external DAC bypass the EQ entirely?

No, it won't be bypassed. The EQ is done before the signal is sent to the DAC.

Are there any good equalizers for external dacs? I am now using a soundcard with built in equalizers, but I will get a dac/amp. I am using foobar/media monkey. Are there better equalizers?
