Does Fiio x5 1st gen improve with Fiio Montblanc ?

A have heard that the Fiio x5 has better amplification than the Fiio Montblanc, being in fact the much superior product. Is it true, or would the x5 still benefict with the Montblanc, or does the x5 sound better by itself?
