Does anyone know where to get the extensions for portable remote-friendly phones?

I see the sony cord bundled with LP stuff here:

but they're twelve dollars each, which is a huge ripoff.
Audio Technica and Panasonic and many other companies have their own kind of extension cable that they put with their portable headphones, but I can't find any of those online.
Does anyone know where I can find some sold separately? Some AT phones have the .5 meter cord but no extension so these must be sold somewhere...

Rat Shack has a few, but similar prices.....DIY is the best you can do.....

I like the sony one, The plugs are SUPER little and the cable is a nice size and flexable. They are my favorite cable also. I should change my name to SonyLover

Sony definitely does have very consumer-friendly designs. I still feel their behind-the-neck cord setup is the way to go when it comes to earbuds.
