My friend has a custom made headphone amp that he may sell me. It was bought by his "audiophile" stepfather. I don't believe his stepfather knows what he is talking about half the time so bare with me. He bought it off of a guy on Ebay named Tubesound99, this guy made three levels of quality. My amp is the mid-level (classified by the Mercedes Benz on the side) which he charged around $100 for. Tubesound99 is no longer active on ebay and hasn't been for awhile now. Needless to say I'm not sure of the quality of this thing so, before I think about buying it off of my friend, I thought I would ask the experts if you've ever heard of or seen this amp. Note that I haven't tried it myself since he lost the charger and I don't have any 9v batteries on hand.

Looks like a variant of the Cmoy amp. Which can be had for $25-$50 if prebuilt or around $10-$15 if you make one yourself.

How would I check this? It looks similar from what I can see, but has extra parts I haven't seen elsewhere.
