I don't even know if I believe in burn-in, but I thought this was kinda cool and I'm using it to burn-in a new pair of headphones.

I used Audacity, a .wav editor to take "high points" from Mahler's symphonies and the first track from the 1812 Overture (just the loud parts) and spliced them all together into one track. It's a 600 MB, hour of music that will either destroy my headphones or finish of the "burn-in" process perfectly...

Just an idea for you guys. Maybe everyone already does this?

i made up a 5 miniute loop of white noise with a sweep tone/warbel tone over it. does well.

I think Cardas made a burn in CD, dont know whats on it tho.

I have a Stereophile test CD that contains their idea of a "burn-in sound," and it is very wacky and crazy with a bunch of crazy lows and highs. I don't know if it is any more effective tha "normal" burn-in, but it's what you asked for.

You obviously aren't into your craft enough. I plugged mine into my home PA system and lovingly played various pieces on every orchestral piece, which were mic'd.
