Hey guys,
I am staring down an AMAZING deal on some Creative Megaworks 560 THX speakers, a 6.1 setup, about $135 shipped. At present, I have Logitech Z-680s which I HATE. The sub on this thing is so horribly unbalanced it is just terrible for music. At the price I've been offered, I could sell the Z-680s and recoup almost all of the cost of the speakers, so this is seriously tempting. I've heard from numerous reviews/forums that the Megaworks are consistently better than the logitechs in strict sound quality, but I take reviews and forums with a grain of salt. Any thoughts on these multimedia speakers from anyone here?
On a related subject, do any of you know of other surround speaker systems that would be suitable for music ASWELL as games? The 500-some watts in both of these systems is definitely NOT the draw, so if there are lower power systems that offer better audio at a similiar price point, I would be interested in those aswell.
