I just bought a new miniDV but since i'm at my grandpa's house he only has USB ports on his comp. Anybody know if there is an adapter (or if this is even possible) where I take a firewire input and change it into a USB input adapter?

Is this even possible? Either way, when i get home i'll have 1394 back again, but i figure it would be a nice to check out...

There's no cable to switch like that. I doubt there's even a box that'll convert the types. Your best bet is to get a firewire card for your grandpa's computer. The PCI ones are fairly cheap.

try www.belkin.com. They sell a refurb 3-port firewire for $14 shipped or so.
