I think the presentation (in terms of closeness) of 325i is perfect as it is unamped. Singer-songwriters are positioned (of course depending on the recording) about 1,5 - 2m away.
Sr80 brings the sound even closer, which is superb for solo piano as it, if closely miked, makes you feel you sit in the performer's place. At least if you play piano, it feels just right. However, the presentation of singer-songwriters gets too close. RS1 has a more distant presentation than 325i, but paired with an RA1 clone,
the closeness is very much like that of Sr80. I'm thinking of getting a pair of 325i, but would like to keep the presentation.
Will the RA1 affect the 325i like it affects RS1?
Senn 595 works great with the clone, btw.
