Any of you know any funny palindromes??

- Cigar? Toss it in a can, it is so tragic.
- Stressed? No tips ? Spit on desserts.

I love palindromes. Too bad most of them are in Spanish and I can't really share them, but these are very good. Thank you Flasken.

Draw, O Caesar! Erase a coward!
No, Sir, panic is a basic in a prison.
Yawn. Madonna Fan? No damn way!
No, Mel Gibson is a casino's big lemon.
Aha, Monica met a mate, Mac, in Omaha.
"Ma," Jerome raps pot top, "spare more jam!"
I, madam. I made radio! So I dared! Am I mad? Am I?
Are we not drawn onward, we few? Drawn onward to new era?

And a special treat for Onix: (some translated)

Anita lava la tina. (Anita washes the tub)
Dabale arroz a la zorra el abad.
Átale, demoníaco Caín, o me delata! (Tie him up, demoniac Cain, or he'll betray me!)
Son robos, no sólo son sobornos. (They are robberies, not only briberies)
No te comas la salsa, mocetón! (Don't eat the sauce, little guy!)
¿Amor sodomita? ¡A ti modos, Roma! (Sodomitic love? no one'll teach you manners, Rome!)
Adán o Eva? Ya veo: nada...
Sé orar -- raro es. (I can pray -- it's strange.)
Raza, oh cese de dones, seres! Eres seno de desecho azar. (Race, oh stopping of gifts and beings! Shattered fate is inside you.)
Aji traga la lagartija.

- Or perhaps you already knew those??

a few from a co-worker:

Naomi, I moan
Lisa Bonet ate no basil
No lemons, no melon
Ma has a ham
Taco cat
Oh, no! Don Ho!
Sh! Tom sees moths
Name no one man
Nate bit a Tibetan
Was it a bar or a bat I saw?
Was it a bat I saw?
Was it a car or a cat I saw?
Was it a cat I saw?
Was it a rat I saw?
Was it Eliot's toilet I saw?

And one for Flumpus: Yo! Banana Boy

Hey Flasken, thanks! Yep, I was thinking about "Anita lava la tina". They are really cool. I took the liberty to translate the rest of the "palindromas".

Dabale arroz a la zorra el abad. (The abbott fed the she-fox with rice)
Adán o Eva? Ya veo: nada... (Adam or Eve? I see: nothing).
Aji traga la lagartija. (The lizzard eats chili)

Very cool indeed

Glad you liked 'em Onix.

I'm sure you'd be able to find alot more on the net. Just search for palindromes in your spanish search engine.

Hell, I found 11 and I don't even speak a smidgen spanish!!

I am not sure it counts as a full fledged palindrome. As far as I Know, a palindrome isn't just something you can read both ways, but it must also has a meaning, and it must be logically and grammatically correct. I'll check for some examples soon.
