I presently own a media player that reads DVD ISO files (movies, that is), read FLAC, OGG, WAV, MP3, DTS audio, and many others. It has a DIGITAL output that can be the input of a DAC and it produces the best audio QUALITY that I have heard in my life. Media players are the next advance in media players, I believe. You can rip SACDs and hear them, and can have in storage 2 Terabites or more of media files. There are some  functions not available yet for the media players, like GAPLESS play or PLAYLISTS, and you must convert or have AVI or ISO files converted to be COPIED to a media player, however, I like them, I believe it is a good discovery that I made. The audio quality is something to be admired with a WOW. On these days of some audio players in the $800 range price, these 49 to 199 dollars players are a steal. I own the Argosy HV335T 3.5" HDD 1080P HDMI Mobile Video Media Player bought on eBay to GOWHOLESALER. I am using it now as my audio and video source.
