Hi
sorry for the provocation but i am looking at headsets for videogames
Cannot be a good base for a more serious listening ?
maybe after some strategic mods ?
Some of them seem quite well built.
I am listening to some Steelseries Siberia ... and they are not that bad as stock.

any very surprising experience ?
some of these HPs can have decent drivers and construction
Thanks a lot, gino

Companies like Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic, Audio Technica, will add a mic to their (good sounding) headphones and call them headsets.
Why "Cannot be good base for more serious listening?" ?

Hi and thanks a lot to you All for the kind and valuable replies
This is exactly my feeling
I am obsessed by the distortion of drivers ... hardly found in the review, and more in general with instrumental performance of the drivers in the HPs
I am sure that some of the drivers used in some videogames Hps have both good FR and low distortion and maybe also high sensitivity
And the best seem also well built
Problem is to spot the really good ones
Only way is to try ... but if you have any specific recommendation ...
Thanks a lot again !
and have a nice day !!!
gino
