I did always consider the shielded cables to be worth it. The cost versus unshielded cables is negligible.

@bluecar: Would'nt you agree that the RF introduced by a single cable should be super (unhearable) small. Also a super cheap cable with ferrite bead should be more than fine. I would assume any cable from 1$ - 5$ should be fine.

Depends on your system if it’s resolving enough, you’ll hear a difference between different cables. I don’t think I’ve heard to usb cable that sounds the same as another when listening on my main rig, whereas in my office set up I might aswell be using string. There’s also huge variance in the cables being sold at similar prices which is where the industry doesn’t help itself.
