I just got myself a Larocco PR II.
At first I wanted to go for a smaller and more portable amp but then oppotunity knocked and I won myself the Larocco.
The next thing I would like to buy for my portable rig are the UE-10 pros.
Is this a combination that sounds well?

Without a doubt, its a killer combination. The UE10s and the PRII are made for each other. Redwine iMod iPod > Audiopath mini to RCA (or Cardas Golden Reference w/Audioquest mini to RCA adapter) > PRII > UE10pro is unbelievable. I have spent many happy hours listening to this combo and I don't think it can be beat for a transportable set up.

Enjoy.

Is there any dynamic phone this side of the K1000 which doesn't work well with the LaRoccoAudio Pocket Reference II?

All kidding aside, you are talking about a portable amp that reputedly competes very well many home amps. With the new dedicated power supply and the upcoming dedicated DAC it may very well become the most versatile home/portable reference amp in the industry.
