Do the Skullcandy Crushers need breaking in for the vibrating bass?

I just got my Crushers delivered today, and I've listened to about 5 minutes worth of music so far. I've noticed that the bass sounds very similar when I have the slider at both completely off and at the medium setting. However, when I have it at the maximum setting, and at a loud volume, it really does shake my ears alot! Does this mean that they need to be broken into in order for me to experience the various different levels? Anyone who could help, please do. And yes, I am using the battery it came with.

I wouldn't expect the sound to change very much with burn in for any Skull Candy HP. If you are dissatisfied with them right from initial impressions, it's likely to pretty much stay that way.
