I just got a usb MonicaII from Yeo -- (sounds really good right out of the box!) I'm just using a wallwart for power and I wonder what I should get that's better, or if I should bother.

I like battery powering my mini-dac and UA-5 as this provides a no hiss, black background. If you find hiss to be prevalent but want to stick to wallwarts then try an Elpac power supply and see if there is a benefit.

Many people have something against wall wart, but only because they are jumping on a bandwagon. Some of these plug in wall units are quite advanced. I guess it's those poor ones that come in a similar style that have pushed the good ones aside. Many pieces of kit have their own built in regulator and power conditioning circuit that tries to even out any irregularities. Take your time and look for a high capacity linear power supply of the same voltage. They give a far better noise performance. That alone could give you an improvement in any jitter figures.

I've got the usb monica from yeo as well used it with a wall wart
that I had around. It said that its output was 18-volts hooked it up
then I measured it...

I measured 22 to 23 volts and it swung wildly underload,
ditched that one pretty quick.

If its the wall wart that Yeo sells your probably good to go,
otherwise I would measure what's coming out of it and
check to see if its regulated and stable.

I'm running mine now with a regulated SMPS at 13 volts
and it's sounds very good.

I also grabbed a pair of 9 volts wired in series and listened to
that until they pooped out. You can check out the battery sound for
the price of a pack of 9 volts.

Unfortunately any real comparisons between the power
supplies have tried is a bit unfair as they all have different
voltages.
