Do IEM cables break-in (become more supple) with use?

I have a lot of campfire IEMs with the same litz cable; some of them very stiff and others very supple, tangle-free and much more pleasurable to use. Do cables become less stiff over time? If so, does anyone recommend a process for speeding that process up or does that sound like a silly idea? I know some cables are going to be much more stiff by nature, but I recently acquired two effect audio cables that I would really like to rid of their strong coil memory. Thanks for any input or experience. Happy listening!
