Do i really need to burn in my headphones?

  Suppose there were two headphones with similar FR charts, but one was dynamic and the other planar. I wouldn't expect them to sound so similar. FR charts simply don't tell us enough about "sound."

Well, if "burn-in" was real, I would expect more than just FR chart changes... there are other measurements people do w/ their headphones too lol. The point is that there should be some sort of objective quantifiable measurable change that can be replicated in a scientific study.
 

1) I do not 'believe' in burn-in any more than I 'believe' that the sun rose in the east this morning. I "know". It is real.
2) I did NOT say that the sound always improves after burn-in. I wrote this:
Don't claim we/I said or wrote something we/I did not.

Mmmm... no, it is really you "believing" until there is scientific evidence out there that definitely proves it to be real. Without scientific evidence backing up a claim, you have to take a leap-of-faith (whether based on personal experience or whatever) if you think the claim is true lol. There are a lot of people who "know" there are aliens out there based on a personal experience of alien abduction... but it's really just a "belief." hahaha.
 
I did said most people the first time... but basically, almost everyone who believes in burn-in almost always says sound improves with burn-in. otherwise, why would people go through the trouble of burning in? lol!
 
EDIT: obviously, this discussion can go on forever. until there is a definitive scientific study that proves it, I choose not to believe in it, based on my own personal experiences & blind-testing for it. if you have a different personal experience, that's totally chill. But you can't claim it to be absolutely real when there is no hard conclusive evidence for such a phenomena.

Subjectivists, objectivists, reviewers, and measurers have experienced it and recommend it. Charts don't tell us enough about sound yet, but maybe we'll have measurements proving it one day. Till then, I'll rely on my ears and best practices.
