I have a pair of Beyerdynamic DT1990PROs which I like.
ive only used the analytical pads because those are the ones I like.

they have become quite soft now and got a bit more uncomfortable.

is it a good idea to get a pair of new analytical original PADS for them now?

im assuming the softer they get the close they get to your ears as well which may change the sound


so is it time to order a new pair of pads?

If they are getting uncomfortable, totally get some new pads. They're replaceable for that reason.

Or...use this as a reason to get new headphones AND get new pads for the dt1990s...more headphones

Yes you need to change them. Go for the original pads.
