For normally, I'll connect JH-3A with S/PDIF on ESP1010.
But my friend told me, "M2TECH hiFace2 can provide better sound than my sound card".

So, What do you think guy?

Do I need to buy M2TECH?

Thanks

Here is a nice review of the hiFace2, they guy also reviews several other SPDIF converters and compares them. The reason why they sound better than you sound card is because these things have their own clocks so they don't rely on the clock inside your PC which is more 'jittery'. There are a bunch of devices that do the same thing so you might want to have a look around. In particular you might want to look at some with an external power supply as it takes the converter off the PC power supply reducing noise even further. The hiFace is very good though so if you dont want to spend any more money then go for it!

It really comes down to your DAC...getting the 1's and 0's to your DAC as accurately as possible.

Computers are noisy environments and the M2Tech can help alleviate some of the shortcomings of your PC or Mac giving you better connectivity to your DAC...a noticeable upgrade.
