Title says it all! I'm using these headphones for gaming and music. I don't need them to be any louder - they make plenty of sound as is. I am currently using the onboard audio of the ASUS z97 motherboard, which is a  Realtek ALC892 sound card. So, will a separate sound card and/or amp improve sound quality and allow these headphones to reach their full potential?

I'm pretty sure you'd have no need for an amp from the reviews I've read, but I have no personal experience with them.
