So I'm interested in an amp, but want something small as I dont have a dedicated listening area/desk, and will be using it primarily on the couch or in bed. 
 
Dont really plan on using as a portable like most of you, but will still move it around the house so I want something small.
 
Would one of these portable amps make more sense or could I go for a smaller full size amp?
And since my source will primarily be my laptop, a Thinkpad, should I get something like the E17(dac+amp) or would just an amp be good enough for me?
The only other source for me would be my iphone 4s.

For your application of both phone and laptop you want something like the E17. if you were to only use the laptop I would suggest E10, if you only wanted to use your phone I would suggest E11. But because you need both you want E17.
