I'm able to lie down with the Atrios, with ease. They are also very comfortable with shure olives : ).

it depends on the fittings you use as well as the ear shape. i have a very small canal, so these cannot go so deeply but my girlfriend can get them in comfortably. as well, the stock flanges are very good but long and will make the phone stick out quite a bit. they are lovely though

Just mess around with different tips I actually make my own from HEROS plugs from walgreens they are blue and waterproof give 25db of noise reduction and I can actually cut off the top flange as they are 3 flange and they fit great. I do admit I dont sleep with my M8's but I do with my Sony MDR-EX90's they fit flat
