Im actually starting to like my JVC's but the cord is simply ridiculous.
Who came up with this design?
Do any of the following have the "Y" cord?:

1)Panny rp-hje50
2)Sharp mdr33
3)Creative ep630
4)Sony ex51

maybe another not mentioned above?(sub $50)

I can't answer the question directly, but what I can say is that that whole thing about the extra cable on the right earbud can come in handy at times (for example, your neck takes the strain if you snag the cable, rather than your ears!)

...Its funny how many people I see on the train wearing neck-band style earphones with the extra cable dangling down in front of them lol

So im using these IEMS for the first time and I started humming to some classical and I feel like I almost blew my eardrums out.
I can hear everything!
My breathing, my humming and even when I scratched my chin it sounded like I was sanding down an armoire

!
What up with that?

Cheap IEM's with Y-shaped cord:

Griffin Earthumps

Under $20 shipped and they have a y-shaped cord. I am very interested as to how these sound compared to the others you mentioned.

And I think they look VERY good. Probably the best looking IEM's (IMO) that are available (and they're very small).

P.S. My EX71's have a Y-shaped cord

The Ep630's are also Y shaped but have got a mini plug and not the angled plug that other IEM's got.

The Creative EP630 have the Y cord + they actually sound good, to my taste anyway (very good bass and good highs; great for dance music).

Addendum - only 'official' Creative EP630s, like the ones sold retail in Europe, have the Y-cord - the Chinese ones on Ebay have an L-cord.

Kameleon, are the chinese ones on ebay real? By "L-cord" do you mean neck-chain style? where the right cord is longer?
