There has not been a Starlett thread so I guess no one here has heard. Last month, DNA started shipping the Starlett amp. Its $2000 and you do not have to wait a year to get it like Stratus. It is made in California like Stratus and Stellaris. There are owner reviews on other forums and more info on the DNA website,http://dnaudio.com

Just spoke to Donald North today and he told me that he's just started building my DNA Starlett. It should be ready before the end of this month. It's been a full 18 month wait. How times have changed since Covid supply chain issues slowed everything down. I paid $2000 for mine. The new retail price of a DNA Starlett is $2200. IMO, it's still a bargain for what you get.

You'd be hard-pressed to find something else that pairs better with dynamic headphones. One of my favorites regardless of price but 18 months is a long wait. For context it took around 6 months for mine to deliver and even then it was agonizing. Hope this will ease off in the coming years and in the meantime do share your experience.

Donald said that the longer wait was primarily due to Covid related issues: supply chain, quality control of electronic components etc. I would imagine that the wait is also in part due to better brand recognition for DNA and a significant increase in orders for Donald's headphone amplifiers. I agree about the synergy of the Starlett with dynamic headphones. IME, especially higher impedance dynamics like the HD6XO. Glad that you're enjoying your Starlett and I wish you many years of listening enjoyment with it in the future.

Someone on the headphone community website just received his DNA Stellaris after an 11 month wait, so it appears that for the foreseeable future, the wait time for a DNA HEADPHONE amplifier is back to just under a year.

Good news for those currently in the cue and for those who've been considering the purchase of a DNA product.
