... Hey, so I saw this movie, and the best part was the hijacked-but-stunning opening song sung by Rocky Roberts ... However, I can't seem to get the lyrics straight ... After listening-on-repeat at least 40 times, and making little changes here & there to lyrics posted elswhere, I'm stuck at the line that begins "You may be sad but remember ......." ... What's the next word/phrase ? ...

Chorus: Django!
Django, have you always been alone?
Chorus: Django!
Django, have you never loved again?
Love will live on, oh oh...
Life must go on, oh oh...
For you cannot spend your life regretting.

Chorus: Django!
Django, You must face another day.
Chorus: Django!
Django, now your love has gone away.
Once you loved her, Oh-whoa...
Now you've lost her, whoa-oh...
But you've lost her forever, Django.

When there are clouds in the skies, and they are gray.
You may be sad but remember [ne-laws] will pass away.

Oh django!
After the shower 's the sun.
Will be shining...

[instrumental solo]
Once you loved her, Oh-oh...
Now you've lost her, Oh-oh-oh-oh...
But you've lost her for-ever, Django.

When there are clouds in the skies, and they are gray.
You may be sad but remember that [ne-laws] pass away.
Oh django!
After the shower 's the sun.
Will be shining...
Django!
Oh oh oh django!
You must go on,
Oh oh oh django...

Oh great! Thanks a lot!

I haven't seen the movie and as far as I know I had never heard the song. I saw your post, so I listened to the song and I tried to figure out that line.

Now I've listened to it about 50 times and I can't figure it out either!

You've made me hear "[ne-laws]" every time!

.

I thought I heard "love will", I searched for the lyrics after.

That makes sense lyrically and I saw that on-line, but I don't think it's correct. I just do not hear it that way.

I'm starting to think he is singing "loss" will pass away.

It's almost like he's enunciating "loss" as if it's a two-syllable word. I'm not sure, but I don't think it's "love will."

Anyway, this thread got me listening to the whole soundtrack. There's some cool stuff on it.

This is the one I listened to.

Even though it lists a different singer's name under that YouTube video, I think it's the same performer. I'm listening to the soundtrack of the new movie on MOG. I also listened on Spotify. Both list the singer as Rocky Roberts. It sounds better on MOG or Spotify, but it's the same performance as that YouTube video.

... Hey Strato, that makes a lot of sense: "loss" being made into a two-syllable word ... Thanks for the idea !!

Thanks for getting me interested in the soundtrack! There is some great stuff on there. Track number six called "Freedom" is great among others...

... K, I think we've it correct ... Thanks everyone for the help:

Chorus: Django!
Django, have you always been alone?
Chorus: Django!
Django, have you never loved again?
Love will live on, oh oh...
Life must go on, oh oh...
For you cannot spend your life regretting.

Chorus: Django!
Django, You must face another day.
Chorus: Django!
Django, now your love has gone away.
Lost, you loved her, Oh-whoa...
Now you've lost her, whoa-oh...
But you've lost her forever, Django.

When there are clouds in the skies, and they are gray,
you may be sad but remember that loss will pass away.

Oh Django!
After the showers the sun,
will be shining...

[instrumental solo]
Lost, you loved her, Oh-oh...
Now you've lost her, Oh-oh-oh-oh...
But you've lost her for-ever, Django.

When there are clouds in the skies, and they are gray,
you may be sad but remember that loss pass away.
Oh Django!
After the showers the sun,
will be shining...
Django!
Oh-oh Django!
You must go on,
Oh-oh-oh Django...

... Yep ... {^..~}

I looked up the album on spotify. It has the same cover stratocaster shows but the performer for "Django" is "Luis Bacalov, Rocky Roberts". It is the same song of the youtube excerpt

What I hear in both cases is
You may be sad but remember, love ['ll] soon pass away
