Traktor & Serato are the standard apps for this job. If you look around you can find less expensive or even free alternatives but you are better advised to learn what everyone else uses. Start with a cut down or demo version if cash is tight atm. Ableton Live is an alternative but has a steeper learning curve. As you would expect as it is practically a fully fledged DAW these days.

If you just want to mess about then sign up to BeatPort. Then you can download (free) a very truncated version of Traktor that will allow you to mix tracks together whilst the program deals with all the beatmatching.
