Hi, i want to make a psu for a usb dac.
Has anyone made an USB PSU before?
Does anyone know how to make one?

Thinking of one like this http://teddypardo.com/Products/Power%20Supplies/TeddyUSB.html
or http://www.aqvox.de/usb-power_en.html

Could you just use a standard AC/DC 5v 1A transformer for the latter one?
Thanks

Ehh don't waste your time. I don't think. The ripple on the 5V rail of your computer can easy be dampened with some high value capacitors. You could also use a filter network to get rid of the junk on the rail if it really concerns you.

If you are still convinced, It's as simple as an LM7805 or equivalent
