In general cat5/cat7 cables are suggested for diy usb projects. What about using some star quad cable to do it? I am going to buy Lookab SQ22 Asteriks 4x0.20 mm2 to recable my Koss Portapro, instead of ordering another cable from another place I want to try making usb cable with this. What do you think about that?
 
 
Edit: I forgot to consider the 75 ohm usb standarts, probably thats why it is not used in usb diy's.
