I have built a DIY CD transport and all I am missing before listening is a weight or puck/donut to keep the disc in place. All suggestions welcome.

Hmm, thats a though one. I would say that probably wont be easy to make one. If you attempt to make one you should make sure its balanced. Most cd players have a puck somewhere. perhaps you can liberate it and modify it.

Someone on eBay has Naim transport pucks for sale...have a look...I wouldn't try and make one it's not that easy.

yeah I would even try and make one unless you were VERY WELL equipped. just one slight mistake with weighting and with the speed they spin; its likely to shake the whole transport apart.
