Hum-diddly-dum...yeah, I am interested in a non-headphone amp. This probably would belong in off-topic, but that's gone now.

What I am looking for is this:

I have a pair of Linn 5110 wall-mounted speakers. I would like either a ready-made OR kit amp (tube, solid state, whatever, doesn't matter) that has:

- a few inputs, at least two switchable by remote
- a remote volume control
- reasonably well-matched to the Linns (http://www.superfi.co.uk/index.cfm/p...Product_ID/378 )
- high price-performance level (i.e. great value)
- finally, can we keep it under $500 PLEASE?!? If not, that's fine, but that's maybe a goal here

The ideal is lean, mean, gets the job done with the least amount of signal path, and DIY/kit would be cool for both the pride and the cost savings. My experience level is "I have built a bottlehead Seduction phono preamp (skill level II?) and installed the C4S upgrade."

Best,
Matt
