Foam or cotton dams are usually used for impressions. they have a little string coming from them that allows you to pull out the mold when it's all said and done

My Impressions were done by an audiologist. I'm keeping the price low by using my impressions from my old IEM's. They still fit and seal well, so I'm not too worried about my ear canal changes.
