Anyway...
I need to build 4 pairs of RCA patch for my car install. The lengths will be from 3 in. to 6 in. long each. They are running from an Alpine processor mounted right next to both amps.
I noticed that the DIY cable tutorial and most cable builds use a whole piece of starquad for one channel. However, some divide the starquad's four leads into left and right RCA sides. This configuration results in a standard commercial looking patch cord, but only one lead inside the cable for each signal.
Will I hear a difference between the two build ways for such a small run in a car environment?
