I just moved to Germany (Saarland) from the US and I was wondering what kinds of stores people go to to buy electronic parts and tools here. Obviously there are lots of online stores, but sometimes I like going to an actual brick & mortar store and browsing. Are there any big chain stores like radio shack, or are most of them smaller owned businesses? I know there has to be a bunch of them all over, I just don't know where to look.

Also, what are some good German DIY audio forums that you guys frequent? (if I may ask that question here
