As I look for a quality stereo microphone for minidisc recordings I'm finding that the decent ones are pretty steep in price. I saw that from Digikey the mic cartridges only cost a few bucks and my DIY mind started to go off. Does anyone here have experience making stereo microphones with these cartridges and have any advice to offer me? Treat me nice, I'm still new!

the wm60 and wm61 are both very good mics for about $3 at digikey. a lot of the commercial binaural mics that cost from $60-$200 use this capsule but modify it for more linear performance. one such mod can be seen here: http://www.linkwitzlab.com/sys_test.htm#Mic
