Hello, was wondering if this would be possible.

I own a creative zen neeon, and I am wondering if it is possible to put a line out in this player? If I am able to solder wires before the amp, but after the dac, and wire it to the "line in" that I never use, can I use the "line in" jack as a line out?

I think many of the cheaper DAPs use DACs without dedicated line out. You have to know what DAC-chip it uses.

yes, unless this player has a all-in-one DAC/headphone amp chip (sometimes even dac/amp/mp3 decoder/ide-/sdcard-interface)
