The "Ella" kit is on top of my to buy list for my bedroom setup and look easy enough to build/tweak. I read somewhere that the kit came half assembled, and you only need put together the rest of it.

Just to let you know that diycable is the distributor for NA market and do not forget about the hefty shipping all the way from Hong Kong.

hi the ella is a great kit and it sounds absolutely marvellous - i am never ever going back to solid state - and yes it comes partly assembled - most of the ps and the signal circuitry is on pcbs - it should not be that difficult to work on - but then i have the benefit of hindsight - i ran into some problems but the guy behind diyhifisupply, brian cherry is a great guy to deal with. btw this was my very first go at diy - before this the only diy i did was digital and interconnect cables - so this was a quantum leap for me and it has induced 'diyitis' - dreadful disease
