I'm tempted by the Gingko Audio cloud platform for the Scout but find $400 a bit steep. I also think trying to find a way to have the plinth rest on a suspended platform makes alot of sense but that placing the motor on that same platform doesn't. I'm considering having a granite platform made with a cutout for the motor. I might suspend that platform with squash balls, bubble wrap or sobothane feet, then figure out a way to get the motor up to the same height.
Anyone tried this or something like it?
I don't know what the Gingko balls are made of. My suspicion is that they may just be some sort of sport ball. The sorbothane feet have the advantage of being lower profile than the balls.
Thoughts?
