Need to recable my Altone200's since I don't like the current cable and the 3.5mm jack is going bad. They are way easy to work on (the back pops off and it's all right there) but the issue is that I want an in-line microphone and volume control/playback.

Has anyone made one? Does anyone know where to get a nice mic with controls without having to salvage a much more expensive cable? I'd like to do this as cheap as I could preferably.

Any advice or tips would be appreciated! Thanks!

Yeah most of us buy a cheap headset (made for android or iphone) and use its cable with mic assembly to replace the old cable. It's almost impossible to diy a new cable that wont be really stiff and the parts cost is a bit high.
