seeing that these things still cost 20 dollars at radioshack. i went on a quest to build my own. I took an old cassette tape cartridge and removed all the pulleys, the magnetic tape, and the 2 rollers that the tape wraps around. i got it working. it sounds decent but it is a mono channel. however, when i stick it into my car deck with "control logic ". i believe this is just a fancy term for auto-reverse mechanism, it would switch from side A to side B and fast forward, play, then eject it. does anyone know what i can do to fool the deck into thinking it is a normal unmodified cassette tape? i know that commercial cassette adapters have a set of gears built in that allows only a one way rotation of the rollers which forces the deck to play it on side A. i am not looking for this fancy. i just want it to stop switching back and forth and then spitting it out. thank you.

o yea, the car is a 2003 corolla
