Post pics, questions, comments about cable end adapters.

I couldn't find an appropriate thread, so figured I'd start one to share this.

I wasn't able find a 90° angled male to female MMCX adapter. I did find several 45° & 60° angled adapters.

I wanted it to convert barrel type IEMs to over ear cable wearing. With the angle of my ear canals plugging regular over ear cables into a barrel type IEM just does not work, the cable will cause them to pull or fall out.

I ordered a couple pairs of male and female PCB connectors to make the adapters. Using small pliers I broke the legs off and shortened the center pins by 1-2mm with wire cutters.

Tinned one edge and the center pins.

Soldering is kind of a pain, these things are tiny.

Epoxied them. May need an additional coat once this first is cured, it tends to shrink in size.

For size reference, the dimensions of the cutting mat grid is 10mm².

Thanks.

Unfortunately they fit so tight that I cracked the tiny solder joints on one the first time I tried removing them. I would need to injection mold them, possibly almost fully incase them with epoxy or...

Give them a much stronger solder joint. Seems to be working at the moment.

Testing them on some MMCX modded MH750's
