I am looking to DIY an ADC, but searching this forum it confuses this with the far more popular DAC - there is one post where someone asked and was directed to a $400 ADC with a built in phono stage, but that is expensive and no fun

I have found a couple of schematics online, but none had enough documentation for me to be comfortable building them. Are there any designs out there? I'd hope to keep it under $200, but it's not a hard limit.
