Just finished building some acoustic sound absorbing panels for my desktop speakers, so thought I'd share some pictures.  Panels were constructed from 1x2 strips and 1/8 flexible hardboard. Absorbing material is cotton fiber insulation (no itch, no outgassing), wrapped/stapled with fabric.

The panels did a nice job of helping tame a midbass ringing that I was getting from the wall behind the monitors.

Audio gear is a USB driven Wadia 151 PowerDAC mini with a pair of Dynaudio Excite x12 speakers. Really happy with how the sound turned out.

Surprised that nobody has posted about this yet. Well done! I like that they match the walls. It's amazing what a little room treatment can do for the sound.

Cool rig and great speaker choice...
