Hi
I have a Beyedynamic Byron wired IEM that suddenly stopped working in 1 channel. ie. I pulled them out of their case and it wasn't working. I have jiggled the cable all along the length but not able to get anything out of it - IME a bad cable you are usually able to jiggle the cable to make a connection which shows the fault.
Obviously these are way out of warranty and BD didnt have any/wouldn't share any doc on servicing them. I was hoping to dismantle the offending driver unit so that I could get my multimeter in there an do a continuity to confirm 100% if it is the cable (which I could replace) or the driver, which apparently is potentially replaceable.
These are cheap IEM's but I like them and I hate chucking out good stuff. I have nothing to lose here so willing to risk killing them.
Is anyone able to suggest how I would disassemble the driver unit ?
Sorry if this has been covered before - I searched but was not able to find anything.
cheers
