I'm sure this question has been asked before but searching both Head-Fi and Google with multiple attempts and variations didn't answer the question. So....
Can the connectors on a stock Sennheiser HD800 cable be disassembled and re-used or are they sealed with glue or epoxy of some kind?
I've only tried briefly but for the life of me I can't seem to figure out how they come apart. The cable/connector going to the left side is intermittent right at the end of the rubber boot. I do have some nice 3rd party connectors I was planning to use on a custom cable build, but if the stock connectors are sealed I'll go ahead and repair my cable with one of them.
