I was enjoying what I heard from my ER-4S with the white flanged tips until I figured I'd try out the foam eartips earlier today. Now I'm in love with the sound.

A question about the foam eartips though:

One end has the open cell foam exposed while the other end has been sealed so it's smooth and rather flat. Which end goes to what on the earphone? I'm currently using it so the open-cell foam end points into my ear and the smooth side points away form my ears.
