A newbie question: If I own a Bluetooth headphone (Sony MDR-1ABT), and I'm listening to it via Bluetooth, LDAC, aptX etc, does the source matter in any way? I mean it is digital data, sent to a digital transmitter device, received digitally by the headset and the DAC is in the headset. So in theory, should I would assume the source doesn't matter at all ... there is nothing involved, that influences the sound in any way, as long as there's no obvious issue (connection bad etc)? I wondered, because sound off my Xperia Z5 via LDAC to the MDR-1ABT actually sounds fantastic. I'm now ordering a BT USB adapter to also use the phones on the PC. Sadly, there is no LDAC solution there, yet, so I have to go by aptX .. buying the Logilink BT0037 adapter.

If audiophile digital wireless takes off, I predict there will be new products on the market claiming to make a difference.

In fact, I should start working on my audiophile-grade Bluetooh / AptX dock right now......
