I am currently not familiar with cords that I can use for my portable set-up.

I am in the process of buying a headphone amplifier to go along with my Sennheiser 495 and minidisc player.

I noticed the Kimber Kable mini to mini cables on the headroom website.

My current cable that came with the headphones is too long.

Is the mini to mini the most effective 1 meter replacement cable?
Is there anything cheaper out there that you can recommend?

Since I am introducing the headphone amplifier in between the source and cans - that means I need to buy two correct.

Thanks

Well... You can't use a mini-mini (3.5mm) cable. The connection on the headphones side is a sub-mini (2.5mm).

Between the amplifier and the MDP, I reckon you can use a mini-mini cable if the amplifier accepts 3.5mm stereo inputs rather than RCA inputs.

I do suppose you could try getting a custom length Equinox HD590 cable for your HD495 instead. (don't worry, the 2 cans use the same cable)
