Hi, i am seriously considering getting a pair of pxc 450 noise cancel headphones. I already have a pair of px200 which i think are a similar type of headphone because its a closed one. I have read many reviews and searched forums of these headphones. My question is would there be a big difference between my 50$ px200 and 300$ + pxc 450.

Some reviews indicate that this will not match the other high end models from sennheiser and other competitively priced headphones, but would it be an upgrade, at all? I need a closed headphone and these ones seem to be the best. Any owners of px 200 or pxc 450 how would you rate their souund quality and would it be any improvement?

I had the px200, and you wouldn't really get that big of a difference to the pcx450. the difference in price is due to the noise cancelling unit, which doesn't really work that well anyway. (no noise cancelling is that good, they only work for planes and such)

for $200, get the HD25-1 instead. sound will blow away the px200 and pcx450. and the closed sealing will work much better than any noise cancelling unit.

welcome to head-fi, and sorry about your wallet.

The PX 200 and the PXC 450 are *very* different.

The PX 200 are small foldable closed headphones (the same as the PXC 250, bt without the ANR).

The PXC 450 are full-size top-of-the-range closed headphones with ANR. They fold down for transport.

The sound is vey different and much better than the little PX 200.

But you should have a listen for yourself to see if they suit - you may very well find you prefer the HD 25-1 II as suggested by the previous poster (and that is different again from the others).

I'm still a little confused

It just sounds weird a little because you would think a pxc 450 would be better overall headphones , in australia (rrp-799), although you are able to rate the hd 25 as a better choice. Am i right in saying these are the two best sennheiser closed headphones?

If you have any other experiences could you also go into detail e.g how the hd 25 blows px200 and px 450. Also if i were to purchase the hd 25 would this model be a good choice. Sennheiser: HD25 Special Edition | Headphonic: Australian Headphone Specialists: Buy Etymotic, Alessandro, Audio Technica, Ultimate Ears, Talisman, Meier Audio and more

Im sorry for being so picky...
